Educational workshop for children

The Educational workshop for children is at the heart of Project Eden. A learning space is being created here that combines nature, technology and community. Children will be introduced to topics such as sustainability, energy, botany and the circular economy in a playful way - in an environment that invites them to discover and participate.

The approach of self-determined learning with local teachers, action-oriented workshops and a real connection to the environment is central.

Objective

Early access to sustainable thinking and action

Children learn at an early age how to deal responsibly with nature and resources. The educational workshop teaches age-appropriate concepts such as environmental protection, recycling, energy production and healthy ecosystems.

Playful learning with all the senses

Instead of frontal teaching, the children experience actively and with all their senses how learning can also be fun through experiments, workpieces, gardening and observing nature. The hands-on approach creates more sustainable learning experiences.

Strengthening a sense of community and self-efficacy

Through group projects, shared responsibility and visible results, the children experience how their actions have an impact - both for themselves and for the community. This encourages courage, a sense of responsibility and creativity.

Location has been determined

The future educational workshop site is located right next to the Eden Community Park. The natural context enables outdoor educational work directly on site.

The first workshop modules have been designed

Topics such as "What is electricity?", "How does compost work?" and "Our plant world" are already being planned. Educators from the region are involved.

Materials are still missing for the workroom and the garden beds

There are currently no child-friendly tools, work materials and garden modules available. There is an urgent need here.
